TLI Foundation is focused on finding practical solutions to problems plaguing healthcare. In addressing them, we bring together some of the most inventive and insightful minds we can muster. But what truly sets us apart is not how capable we are. It’s how impatient we are. Impatient for things to get better. Impatient with people who think analysis is an end in itself. The world needs more than that.

The world needs action. Dissecting the problem is not the end. Instigating meaningful, sustainable, systemic change is the end. And that’s what we do. We’re not here just to re-imagine healthcare. We’re here to re-engineer it. Making programs more efficient. Making people healthier. And making the country better to? in the process.

From care systems design, federal healthcare transformation, chronic disease challenges, to international development work – we bring new and imaginative talent that is also highly experienced in complex organizations.

Healthcare organizations face huge challenges. Everyone agrees on that. And searching for new ways of improving them by beating the same old bushes will get us nowhere. We need to explore the untried. The unexpected.

e problem is, unorthodox ideas are often theoretical. And you can’t trust them. Unless you trust the people proposing them. And that is one of the great advantages of TLIF.

Our principals include former senior leaders with the Department of Defense and the VA; nonprofit executives who know how to integrate science, technology and strategy for public benefit; and corporate CEOs, physicians and nurse educators with expertise in research, quality management, medical administration and advanced technology application.

Our experience has given us an intimate understanding of the healthcare ecosystem. And when we sit down to address a problem, we bring an intellectual dexterity that we don’t believe anyone can match.

We’re aware of the issues. We know where the landmines are. And we understand the ramifications that a single change can have upon systems this complex and inter-dependent. All of which gives the leaders we advise the confidence, comfort and the courage to make meaningful, and sometimes daring decisions.

SCIENTIFICALLY OBJECTIVE. STAUNCHLY INDEPENDENT

Having spent decades working inside the system, we’ve seen firsthand the damage that ideological agendas can cause. We also know that our success—and our value to you—depends upon us remaining politically neutral, and professionally detached. Passionate about the issues, but cold blooded in developing possible solutions.

Our unifying mandate is to provide you with the kind of objective analysis you need to formulate policies that will best serve the people of this country. Untainted. Unprejudiced. Un-spun.

Besides being politically independent, we are economically unencumbered. A non-profit organization, with no board directors to placate, or shareholders whispering in our ears. As a result, nothing is o?ff-limits to us. No issues too sensitive. No questions too indelicate. No traditions too sacred.

We have no agendas, and no axes to grind. What we do have is a deep understanding of the problems. An appreciation for the di? culties you face in dealing with them. And the means and the will to fix them
